Apologies, I am Alive

I do apologize for completely disappearing for almost a year. This has been quite the seven months since my last post. Not to be dramatic, but I found love, lost love, was betrayed by a supposed best friend, and fell desperately ill.

I write romances, I’m not supposed to actually live them.

I am slowly on the mend from my emotional adventures, picking up the pieces. I’ve had to reprioritize, putting my health first, then school, and then my writing. It has been a long, difficult path to traverse, and without any light to guide me. But rest assured, once I graduate in May, and get settled where ever I find a job, I hope to pick up where I left off.

That will mean more book reviews, more interesting tidbits, and more reflections on self-publishing.

Thanks for sticking around, those of you who did. I’m sorry I’ve been AWOL.

  1. Welcome back! Agreed with above; life happens, and sometimes you just have to take the time to settle in and get a handle on things.

I look forward to your posts. I hope things are getting better for you. =D

  3. Hello Belinda welcome back! All great writers have lived through or experienced a degree of what they write about and God can be a great guiding light? I too have struggled with many things this last year. Belinda, I'm finding that it's not just my education and research that have helped me to expand my writing. I say this with great humility and maybe even with a little desperation attached. My mother’s MS has been the hardest thing I have had to face as her primary care giver, not to mention the personal and spiritual battles I’ve struggled with. Like putting her in a home so I can go on with my own life! However, removing the hardships and looking at the positive, I can say my paranormal murder mystery and first novel length manuscript is going to be some of my best writing. Because of the subject chosen it is reflecting a lot of my personal experiences hidden within different subjects and characters. These different personal experiences good and bad have help me to create so many delightful and not so delightful characters! Because of this I can confidently convey to you Belinda, I believe your romance books will continue to be great. Simply because you have lived it! "Keep your chin up and the Ink flowing!" John D. 5. Thank you, John! I agree with you, I feel my writing has improved significantly due to having actually lived a bit of life, rather than always reading about it.
