Book: The Reincarnationist

  1. This was a book I thought was well-written, but I couldn't get into. I LOVED Lip Service, by the same author. I think Erotica is her calling, personally. But I wasn't "feeling it" with this book quite as much, even though I loved the subject matter.

I think the problem might have been that she was in too many different heads for my personal taste and I had a hard time knowing who I was supposed to really be rooting for.

    1. I’ve never read any of her erotica (I’ve never read erotica), so I wouldn’t know to compare. However, I loved the fact that she was in all the different head spaces. It seems to me that’s almost a staple of suspense, which is how this book was advertised (well, historical suspense).

Besides which, if you didn’t like that, you may not like my book. I jump heads from chapter to chapter if it will tell the story better.

  3. It depends on how many different heads. And that genre (that The Reincarnationist is in) may not be a genre I’m really fond of. In which case, it’s certainly not the fault of the author that I don’t care for the conventions of that genre, lol.
