  1. How do I decide what to read? Wow. Good question.
I read a lot of series, so once I find one, I’ll read everything in that series over time. Same with good authors and their backlists. I also love to browse the new books section at libraries and bookstores. I’ll write down titles I’m interested in. I also check out book lists from NYT, USAToday, etc and look for titles that consistently get good reviews. Author blogs are a great source too.

I can’t say I have an offical TBR list, but there are books I know I mean to get to someday.

  3. I have to admit, I somehow grew an aversion to series, but somehow I still find myself reading them! I think I do the same thing you do with reading the backlist of authors I like, but this past year I tried to read only new books, no series. Certainly exposed me to a lot of new authors, and this year I’m going with the whole series thing since I found some really great authors I might not have found otherwise.

I think my TBR list is just another form of my need to be extremely organized. Since it’s a journal, I can throw it into my library bag and add titles whenever I want and know the list will be protected by the journal.
